Dr Charlie Easmon
Director of Compliance
MRCP, MBBS, MSc Public Health, DTM&H, D OccMed, DFPHDr Charlie Easmon trained at St George’s London. He has a focus on international healthcare delivery and has been privileged to work and visit over seventy five countries. Charlie has been a TEDx speaker on global health issues and has been featured in Time Out Magazine and on CNN African Voices.
During his initial training Charlie completed an elective in Ghana (his country of birth) and subsequently worked in Rwanda (with Merlin, Raleigh International and Save the Children) and in Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan (for Project ECHO). Charlie is a Lecturer in Occupational Medicine at the Royal Society for Public Health and was the previous president of The International Association of Physicians for the Overseas Services (IAPOS).
Back at Harley Street London Charlie spent twenty years developing his own private medical service and is the Co-Founder of Global Health Action Strategies & Solutions (GHASS) and Your Excellent Health Service (YHES).
Charlie has been a former honorary lecturer at UCL Performing Arts Medicine and has been part of the development team for the UK Black Cultural Archives. He has served on several charity boards and is a school governor.

Nicholas Russi
International Clinical Program Consultant
Nick has a deep understanding of this niche healthcare sector and has worked in the field for over twenty years. His initial motivation stemmed from exposure to family health issues and his own associated personal health challenges. Nick has worked from the ground up in the industry and has gained an appreciation of the multiple aspects of integrated teamwork that are required to achieve sustainable quality client outcomes. He has consulted for multiple international sites in the implementation of intricate behavioural healthcare operations. This has included establishing triage and intake systems, policies, procedures, guidelines and documentation protocols while adhering to compliance and regulatory needs. He established and operated a 60 bed addiction recovery facility in Southern California and a large behavioural health centre in Costa Rica. He has held multiple senior management positions.
Nick continues to maintain certification as a licensed addiction counsellor and certified clinical supervisor. His desire to help people become free from the grips of addictive disorders and crippling mental health problems has become a passion and the driving force in his life.
Nick is of Swiss/Italian descent and has a deep appreciation for family. In his free time he enjoys travel and collecting vintage cars.

Dr Leon van Huyssteen
Psychiatrist
Dr van Huyssteen completed his medical training at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1994. He then worked at the Livingstone General Hospital where he gained experience in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics and Surgery. He came to the United Kingdom in 1996 working in Accident and Emergency units and Orthopaedic Surgery. He joined the Royal Free and Associated NHS Trusts training scheme in Psychiatry and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2003. He is dually accredited as a General Adult Psychiatrist and Substance Misuse Psychiatrist and registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
Dr van Huyssteen runs a thriving private practice at the King Edward Hospital in London and the One Hatfield Hospital in Hertfordshire. He has also worked in the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland and the Caribbean.
His approach to working with clients is collaborative and patient-centred and he has an established network of psychologists, therapists and other clinicians he works with very closely.
He is keenly interested in medical innovation including Pharmacogenetic testing, tDCS (Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation) and Health Tech.
Dr van Huyssteen is happily married and has a very active family life. He enjoys skiing, travelling, photography, watching South Africa play rugby and anything that allows more time outdoors.

Dr Leigh A Neal
Psychiatrist
MB BCh MRCGP DRCOG FRCPsych MDLeigh was first appointed as a consultant psychiatrist in 1994. He was formerly an RAF psychiatrist, armed forces tutor for the Royal College of Psychiatrists and latterly hospital commander of the Armed Forces Psychiatric Hospital. He has a Research Doctorate (MD) in psychiatry and was appointed as an honorary senior lecturer in psychiatry at Leeds University and at Kings College University, London. Dr Neal is also a member of the advisory committee (MAC) to the Royal College Psychiatrists for TMS.
Dr Neal trained in TMS at Maastricht University as well as various clinics in Southern California, and has been certified in the safe use of repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) by Maastricht University. He has particular expertise in the treatment of chronic depression, addictions and PTSD.

Dr. Mihaela Bucur is a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist and Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician, specialising in General Adult Psychiatry. She brings extensive experience in managing conditions such as ADHD, OCD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, PTSD, Adjustment disorders, Psychosis, Stress, and integrating lifestyle medicine into mental health care.
As the Lead of the Mental Health Special Interest Group (SIG) at the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Bucur is dedicated to enhancing mental health care through a holistic and comprehensive evidence based approach. Her dual expertise allows her to provide personalised and compassionate care by incorporating key lifestyle factors—such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and social connections—alongside traditional treatment methods to improve mental health and overall well-being.
A Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Dr. Bucur served as the Chair of the Wellbeing Committee at the Royal College of Psychiatrists from 2019 to 2022. In 2020, she earned her certification as a Lifestyle Medicine Physician from the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
During her postgraduate training in psychiatry , Dr Bucur has completed a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychiatry and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education. She has also contributed significantly to the field through numerous publications in reputable scientific journals.

Dr Gauri Seth
Emotional Wellness Coach
MBChB BSc (Hons) MRCPsych PG CERT CCPGauri Seth is an Emotional Wellness Coach and mother of three with an extensive clinical and academic background in medicine and psychiatry. She supports parents, caregivers families and couples as they boost connection for self-esteem and family wellbeing.
She graduated in Medicine from the University of Bristol where she was awarded a First-Class Honors in Bioethics. She has worked in the NHS as a doctor and clinical academic, with specialist experience in psychiatry. Gauri’s clinical experience includes working with families in systemic therapy and mothers in perinatal psychiatry. Her psychotherapy experience has also included cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive analytical therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Gauri is published across peer-reviewed academic journals, and was recently recognised as a ‘Top Cited Author’ by the Journal of Family Therapy for research which has been disseminated by the World Health Organisation. She has received awards for her research which has been presented at national and international conferences, and has recently been selected as a World Health Organisation digital content creator.
Gauri is recognised as a ‘Top 50 Thought Leader in Mental Health’ by Thinkers 360 for her pioneering connection coaching methodology, through which she is working on democratising access to connection science for sustainable mental wellbeing. Her company Brain-Based Connection was recently shortlisted by the Great British Workplace Well-being Awards 2024 for ‘Best Mental Well-Being Initiative’.

Laura Smart

MBACP, MNCPS Accr, Dip HypLaura is an National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society Accredited counsellor and Member of theBritish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists who specialises in the treatment of substance abuse and addictions.
Laura is a trained Gestalt Counsellor, by the Gestalt Centre in London, as well as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapist (DBT) and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapist (REBT); and holds a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. She has over a decade of clinical experience and believes each person’s story and recovery journey is unique.
Laura applies emphasis on Mindfulness practices and Inner Child Therapy to identify, heal and release old developmental wounds, attachment wounds, and traumas resulting in ineffective and unhelpful patterns of behaviours. She believes these behaviours and coping mechanisms accompany cognitive distortions, unhealthy core beliefs, dissociation and emotional dysregulation which affects peoples’ lives, relationships and innate happiness. She is passionate about helping people work through these blocks and painful experiences to have a life worth living and to reclaim and champion the inner child.
Laura facilitates evidence-based DBT Skills for alcohol and substance addiction as well as an online Aftercare DBT group for those overcoming addictions and other unhealthy, impulsive conditions and ineffective behaviours.
She is familiar with both SMART Recovery and 12-step theory and adapts and tailors a therapeutic treatment plan and approach unique to you.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys nothing better than to travel and spend her free time hiking with her therapy dog Mabel, exploring woodland and nature reserves and places of beauty where she recharges and connects with Mother Earth.

Dr Vik Patel
Psychologist
Dr Vik is a Consultant Psychologist with extensive expertise in the delivery of evidence-based therapies, specialising in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Having delivered DBT across both NHS and private healthcare settings, including The Priory Hospital, Dr. Vik is highly experienced in supporting individuals to regulate emotions, strengthen interpersonal connections, and build a sustainable sense of wellbeing. He views DBT not only as a NICE-recommended treatment but also as a lifestyle—practical, science-based skills that enhance daily living.
In addition to DBT, Dr. Vik provides trauma-focused interventions using Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is trained in Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) by the treatment’s developer. Alanna Kit
Director of Psychedelic Therapy and Breathwork
M.Sc., PhD Candidate, RYTAlanna is a behavioural and cognitive neuroscientist researching the mechanistic effects of psychedelics on the brain, with a focus on mental health disorders rooted in chronic stress and inflammation. Prior to her doctorate, she conducted research in exercise physiology, biomechanics, and injury prevention, and later worked in clinical trial and drug development at a psychedelic startup in Toronto, Ontario.
She has been a dedicated practitioner of breathwork, yoga, and meditation for over eight years, specializing in their somatic therapeutic applications. Her approach integrates Eastern and Western philosophies of science and consciousness, framed through a neuroscientific lens to support a multi-dimensional understanding of her clients.
As a psychedelic therapist, Alanna has safely guided more than 150 clients through 1:1 sessions and group retreat settings, focusing on trauma, addiction, depression, and anxiety. She offers fully integrative treatment, including comprehensive preparation, such as detoxification protocols and psychological readiness, as well as post-session integration.
In addition to her clinical and research work, Alanna is the Founder of Arc Community, a large-scale contrast therapy, recovery, and longevity centre in London, England. At Arc, she leads product development, customer experience, scientific education, and wellness programming for clients.

Lola Barbour

Lola works as a consultant to organisations, charities and businesses of all sizes.
With a background as a nurse, naturopath, and wellness coach, she provides a holistic approach and ensures a positive experience by supporting anxiety management and tailoring treatments to individual needs. Her caring and uplifting personality creates a comforting environment. Lola has a special interest in working with young people and adults who suffers from Depression, Psychosis, PTDS, Personality Disorder and Psycho-sexual disorders. Lola's role is to support individuals to get back on the right track by facilitating an understanding of their internal world. She also uses mindfulness and breathing exercises to support this process.

Darja Lee
Integrative Psychotherapist
MBACP, PgDipDarja is an integrative psychotherapist with extensive experience working with people suffering from depression, anxiety, work stress, relationship difficulties, addictions and compulsive behaviours. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice, Counselling and Psychotherapy from The Minster Centre (Middlesex University) and has completed various trainings and CPD in addictions, ADHD, ASD and trauma informed psychotherapy.
Darja integrates various approaches, the main ones being psychodynamic, relational and attachment focused. She believes that through exploring one’s attachment history, self-awareness and choices in the present moment are vastly improved. Darja often also uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy skills and interventions.
She is passionate about and experienced in working with people who have been diagnosed or are presenting with symptoms of ADHD and ASD, especially when they are experiencing co-occurring difficulties with addictions or compulsive behaviours.

Margaret Ward-Martin

BA (Hons), MA, PGCE, Post. Grad Cert. in Coaching. Psychology, MBACPMargaret is a person-centred therapist who integrates a range of therapeutic approaches to best suit the individual needs of each client.
After a successful career in IT working for the Japanese and US governments, Margaret trained as a teacher and was head of Psychology in a boarding school for many years in the UK. During this time she qualified and started practicing as a therapist specialising in healing strategies to support those suffering from narcissistic and psychological abuse and coercive control. She has had several articles published in the mainstream press and is an advocate for survivors of abuse, and has consulted on high profile national disasters and worked with victims and perpetrators of crime. She is also an executive member of the Private Practice Committee at the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Margaret has over 30 years experience in addiction and associated disorders and the patterns of destructive behaviour that accompany them. In each case she works towards recovery and management of underlying anxiety, trauma and co-existing issues to help an individual and their family make meaningful and lasting change.
When not working, Margaret spends time with family and friends. She appreciates the arts and is a trustee of a vocational ballet school in London.

Zackary Green
Operations Director
In the capacity of Operations Director, Zack brings the attention of detail required to ensure that our clientele experience the highest levels of dedicated personal service and support within their luxury accommodation and surrounds. Zack’s goal is to maintain the highest standards available to make a client’s stay as effortless and pleasurable as possible.
Zack refined his skills with years of service at The Fairmont Empress and Residence Management for The Sanctuary Vancouver Island, in Victoria, Canada. His knowledge of logistics and hospitality along with his connectivity to services and partner organisations, makes for a seamless process of episode delivery and a smooth client relationship experience. Zack currently divides his time between The Sanctuary UK and VI operations and is part of the non-clinical Sanctuary World operational team globally.
Outside work Zack enjoys hiking, tennis and motorsport. He loves international travel and has lived in the UAE, Australia, UK and Canada.

Ally Morton
Case Manager / Recovery Coach
Ally is a compassionate, empathetic and committed coach whose infectious positivity helps clients find the joy in their lives. Ally has specialist experience as a recovery coach, with a wide range of experience working with eating disorder, addiction and behavioural health issues.
Ally has supported clients navigating ADHD, OCD, anxiety and depression, burnout, grief and loss. She values collaboration over competition and believes that we rise by lifting others up. Her priority is always to work collaboratively with clients and walk alongside them on their path to wellness.
She takes a non-dogmatic, client-centred approach and aims to empower each client to build their own self-agency and resilience. She is from a creative background having worked for many years in magazine styling and event design, and loves using her creativity in her coaching.
Alongside coaching, Ally is currently training as a psychotherapist at Regent’s University London.
In her spare time, she loves yoga, walks in nature, going to the theatre or the movies and rummaging around vintage shops. She lives with her teenage son in London.

Graham Freeman

Graham is a certified Counsellor, Addiction Therapist, Recovery Coach, drug/alcohol Intervention specialist and a personal fitness coach. He has over 25 years experience working closely with individuals and their families in their battle with addiction and behavioural health challenges.
Graham has had the privilege of assisting countless individuals into recovery. Observing individuals and their families recover from the devastating effects of alcoholism and other addictions is his passion in life.
Graham consults with individuals and families in overcoming the challenges of mental and behavioural health and provides a new way of looking at their lives and to move forward in a more rewarding and authentic way.
A properly orchestrated family intervention will provide a change in the life of everyone involved with an addicted person. Friends, business associates and family members are shown how to work together compassionately to allow a suffering individual to see the effect their addiction is having not just on themselves but on those around them.
Graham will meet with family, friends and work colleagues of the addict and explain how the intervention process will work and what each individual's roles and responsibilities will be in order to carry out a successful non-judgemental and compassionate intervention.
Graham's carefully planned and honest approach to Interventions have an extremely high success rate in facilitating your loved ones first step into recovery.

Ashley is fully trained in the motivational interviewing technique, a powerful tool that enhances his ability to facilitate change and strengthen his commitment to recovery. His qualifications include training in the Heather Hayes Respectful Therapeutic Transport Protocol™ and the Trauma Informed Therapeutic Transportation model ™. His qualifications and experience provide his clients them with a diverse and rich toolkit for recovery.

She is also a Trauma Informed Yoga and Meditation Teacher who has taught yoga and mindfulness practices for over a decade at yoga studios, addiction treatment centres and psychiatric hospitals.
As a person in long term recovery, she knows first-hand the many challenges that her clients endure, as well as the potential for a joyful, healthy and connected life. Clients appreciate her open mind, deep curiosity and grounded nature as she encourages them to use their strengths to create their best life.
Born in Hong Kong to a Swiss father and an English mother, Dominique began her career in the Swiss banking industry and has travelled extensively throughout the world. She speaks three languages (English, French and German) and has lived in Hong Kong, London, Zurich, Montreal, Vancouver and Connecticut.
An accomplished poet and photographer, Dominique is the proud mother of two adult children and enjoys hiking and exploring the great outdoors around Vancouver where she lives with her husband.

Natasha Williams
Registered Nurse
Natasha Williams is a Lead Psychiatric Nurse.
After graduating from the University of Bristol in 1997 (BSc hons) in Mental Health Nursing, she worked as a Community Psychiatric Nurse for the NHS and as a Community Psychiatric Nurse, then team manager in a Community Mental Health Team in Weston-Super-Mare. Natasha moved to London in 2010 and has been working in the private sector since 2014. She prides herself on her ability to quickly build a rapport with clients and families and she specialises in crisis intervention and case management.
Natasha is a keen animal lover, and her passion is animal rights and conservation. She has three dogs and loves taking them to the beach for long walks, is a keen vegan cook and loves spending her downtime cooking and educating people on how great vegan food can be!

Jason Milne

Jason holds a dual certification in Addiction Recovery with IAPRC, and Life Coaching with ICF, in addition to a Master of Education degree from National University of San Diego.
He specialises in partnering with clients to overcome their addictions through an innovative individually tailored approach that he has created. Jason combines his unique coaching methodology with extensive knowledge of yoga, breathwork, meditation, qigong, fitness, healing, psychology, addiction therapy, nutrition, supplementation and more to bring optimal health, balance and peak performance to each client’s body, energy, emotions and mind.
Jason is passionate about travel, adventure, diverse cultural experiences, and continuously challenging himself to learn, grow and evolve while also enjoying a true love of sport and athletic pursuits. His years of meditation have fostered in him a loving connection to and deep respect for the power of the human spirit and a drive to help others receive the benefits of the all that he has devoted years to learning and embodying.

Dr Nathan Sandles

BBS (Lond)Nathan qualified as a doctor in London in 2005. Having completed training in General Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics and Sexual Health he qualified as a General Practitioner in 2010.
Nathan has worked in a variety of clinical settings and developed a strong interest in Psychological Medicine and Mental Health.
Nathan brings a depth of experience to The Sanctuary through his involvement working in recovery programs to support other doctors leaving treatment centres in the UK with their early recovery journey. He is acutely aware of the toll that addiction and poor mental health can take on individuals and their families and is passionate about helping others to regain their self-worth and rebuild their lives and relationships with loved ones, and to grow into the best possible versions of themselves.
Nathan’s medical background and personal experience of recovery brings both deep knowledge of general health and wellbeing and the deeply personal understanding of the unique challenges to health and wellbeing active addiction brings.

Emma Davey is a multi-award winning MBACP Trauma Informed Counsellor and Narcissistic Abuse Specialist, Level 4 Brainspotting Practitioner and a ICF Somatic Trauma Informed Coach.
She is the Founder and CEO of the MyNARA App and My Trauma Therapy Ltd. In partnership with The Mental Wellbeing Company delivering Trauma Informed and Positive Psychology Workshops in Schools, Workplaces, Public Sector Organisations and Charities.
As a survivor of domestic abuse herself, Emma has helped thousands of people overcome the struggles and trauma they have experienced due to domestic / narcissistic abuse and coercive control. Emma teaches and supports people throughout their journey of recovery to rebuild their identity and confidence while learning strong boundaries and self-love.

Jayn’s own journey included her struggling with abnormal eating behaviours from the age of 12. She was labelled as ‘eating disordered’ and spent 30 yrs on a path to recovery. Rick Miller
Dietitian
MSc., BSc., RD.Mr Rick Miller is a dual certified elite sports performance and clinical dietitian.
Rick has extensive clinical nutrition and sports performance nutrition career that spans 20 years, including multiple Olympic athletes and teams.
He qualified as a dietitian from Leeds’ Beckett University, UK after graduating with honours from St Andrews’ University in Human Biology and obtaining a Masters’ in Sports Nutrition from Loughborough University. He has published work on carbohydrate supplementation in sports nutrition in a major international sports medicine journal that has now become part of international guidelines.
Rick is unique amongst his UK clinical peers as medico-legal qualified expert witness. He frequently provides clinical nutrition expertise to His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service under instruction from legal firms.
During his career Rick has obtained extensive experience in support mental health and rehabilitation through nutrition including working in acute clinics and medium secure mental health facilities. He now only supports private rehabilitation centres working closely with distinguished clients and family offices to provide the highest level of nutrition support and expert dietetic care.

Daniella also has a wealth of experience in the regulatory side of pharmacy, having led Responsible Pharmacist (RP) services and managed Wholesale Dealer Authorisation (WDA) sites, overseeing compliance with strict MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) inspections. David and his wife have seven adult children and eleven grandchildren, and have lived in Canada for 27 years, in Montreal, Quebec, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario & Victoria, BC. Dr Walsh commenced his career in intensive care medicine. In 2010 he switched focus to community medicine and worked as a Senior Medical Officer for The Sanctuary Byron Bay until he took over the company in 2017. He co-founded The Sanctuary World in 2021 with the view to ensure that all of our clients have timely and accessible care, regardless of their cultural background or geographical location.
Rob gives back to his profession with multiple roles in Australian Medical Education. He has held the position of a Senior Lecturer for the University of Queensland School of Medicine, and is currently a Staff Specialist for NSW Health, a Senior Medical Educator for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and is the National Medical Lead in Advanced Skills Training for the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Dr Walsh lives with his wife and three children on a certified organic avocado farm and enjoys maintaining a healthy lifestyle by surfing every sunrise, reading hardcopy books, and listening to a wide variety of music.
